Bright Spot Content, an All3Media America company, is a full-service production company that creates, develops, and produces high quality, innovative and inspiring programming.  Founded by 25-year industry veteran and former Discovery Studios Head, Sandy Varo Jarrell, Bright Spot is a prolific producer of non-fiction series.  The company is poised to deliver an impressive line-up of captivating shows across multiple genres this year including reality, lifestyle, adventure and competition. This includes new and returning series for international networks and streaming platforms, such as Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, HGTV, Food Network, Hulu, and more.

Bright Spot’s long running hits include Alaska: The Last Frontier (Discovery), Little People Big World (TLC), Outdaughtered (TLC), Seeking Sister Wife (TLC), and Puppy Bowl (Animal Planet), as well as more recently launched series and specials such as Hotties (Hulu), Baker’s Dozen (Hulu), Candified: Home for the Holidays (Hulu) and Shatner in Space (Amazon).

Sandy Varo Jarrell serves as CEO of Bright Spot Content overseeing all aspects of the business, including current production, business operations, and the development of new projects. Sandy previously led Discovery Studios, which became one of the largest single producers of non-fiction programming for Discovery’s Portfolio of Networks, delivering more than 175 hours of content a year. Her other credits include serving as TLC’s Senior Vice President of West Coast Production and Development where she managed the strategic and creative direction of hit series including Long Lost Family, My 600lb. Life, Skin Tight and I Am Jazz. She also previously held executive positions at CBS and Lifetime following an extensive career as a freelance producer working in multiple genres.

Under Sandy’s leadership, Bright Spot Content is building on its diverse slate of popular series for international networks and streaming platforms, including Outdaughtered (TLC), Little People Big World (TLC), Alaska: The Last Frontier (Discovery), Seeking Sister Wife (TLC), Puppy Bowl (Animal Planet), Self-Made Mansions (HGTV) and more.

SVP Development

Cathy Veisel serves as SVP of Development for Bright Spot Content. In this role, she is responsible for all original development and executing paid development projects with our network partners. Across her 20-year career, Cathy has worked across all genres of unscripted programming and in every aspect of the business, from production, to production company development, to studio development, to network development.

Prior to joining the Bright Spot team, Cathy was VP of Development at Discovery Studios, and has also worked at leading studios and production companies including Fox Television Studios, 3 Ball Entertainment, Style Network, and Universal Television.

SVP Current Production

Suzanne Rauscher serves as SVP of Current Production at Bright Spot and has over 20 years of experience in non-scripted television. Having started out as a production assistant on the popular sitcom Cybill, she went on to work in numerous production roles on reality tentpoles, such as Big Brother (CBS), Hell’s Kitchen (FOX) and all 7 seasons of the pop culture phenomenon, Toddlers and Tiaras (TLC). She formerly served as a network executive at TLC, overseeing a slate of popular shows, including My 600 Lb. Life, My Five Wives, This is Life Live, Little People Big World and The Little Couple.

As SVP of Current Production at Bright Spot Content, Suzanne oversees a slate of hit series for international networks, which includes Alaska: The Last Frontier (Discovery), Outdaughtered (TLC), Seeking Sister Wife (TLC), and Self-Made Mansions (HGTV).

VP Development and Casting

Scott Goldstein serves as VP of Development and Casting for Bright Spot Content. Scott plays a central role in the creation of new concepts as well as the selection of on-screen talent for the company’s development and current productions. With seventeen years of experience in unscripted production, Scott has worked in multiple roles on top-rated shows. His early credits include casting for gameshow, dating, competition and reality series including Deal or No Deal, Beauty and The Geek, Wipeout, Flavor of Love and Below Deck. He went on to become a producer, helping to craft storylines for popular series, such as Jerseylicous, Chicagolicious, The Glam Fairy and The Customer is Always Right.

In recent years, Scott has worked as a Development Executive for successful production companies, including Story Monster TV (an Endemol Shine Company) and Discovery Studios, before taking up his current position at Bright Spot Content.

EVP Legal and Business Affairs All3Media America

Stephanie joined the All3Media America in 2013 and now oversees all aspects of business and legal affairs for the company. In her previous role, she was an associate at the entertainment law firm of Kleinberg Lopez Lange Cuddy Edel and Klein for over nine years. Key clients that Stephanie worked with at the firm are Alcon Entertainment (“Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “P.S. I Love You”), 3 Ball Productions (“Beauty and the Geek” and “Breaking Bonaduce”), Authentic Entertainment (“Flipping Out,”“Toddlers & Tiaras” and “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo”), Intuitive Entertainment (“Millionaire Matchmaker”), Dean Cain and Sugar Ray Leonard.

A member of the California State Bar, Rosenberg received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and is an alumna of Muhlenberg College. Rosenberg is originally from New Jersey and now resides in California.

Justin oversees production for all of the All3Media America companies based out of our 80,000 square foot production and post studio in Los Angeles. Projects under Justin’s purview cover an expansive range of networks and genres, including current and upcoming series Flirty Dancing (FOX), Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back (FOX), The Hustler (ABC), Chrisley Knows Best (USA), Homestead Rescue (Discovery) and Top Elf (Nickelodeon).

Justin has been with All3Media America since its creation in 2013, when the company first established its formal presence in the United States. Prior to joining the All3Media organization, Justin was a freelance producer and spent five years at the beginning of his career as a field production coordinator for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” traveling the world and producing segments for that show’s many correspondents. He was also a producer for NBC at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino and the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, for which he received an Emmy Award. Justin graduated from the University of Southern California in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Cinema-Television Production.
